This Cookie Policy explains how TempFile uses cookies and similar technologies.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. They help websites remember settings, keep you signed in, or maintain session state.
2. Cookies we use
Essential session cookie: Used to keep you logged in and to maintain your server-side session while you use TempFile. This cookie is necessary for account features and security.
Guest identifier (tempfile_guest): If you upload without an account, we set a persistent cookie so multiple uploads from the same browser can be linked to one guest ID. This helps abuse review and does not require an account. The cookie typically lasts up to about 400 days and is refreshed while you keep using TempFile.
3. What we do not use
TempFile does not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking for ad targeting. We do not embed social media trackers on core upload pages.
4. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may prevent login, uploads, or other core features from working correctly.
5. Retention
Session cookies typically expire when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity. The guest identifier cookie is persistent and is kept only as long as needed to associate guest uploads from the same browser.
6. More information
