This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes prohibited and restricted uses of TempFile. It supplements our Terms of Service.
1. Purpose
TempFile is intended for lawful, temporary sharing of files you own or have permission to distribute. You must not use the service to harm others, violate laws, or disrupt the platform.
2. Prohibited content
You may not upload, share, or distribute content that: contains malware, viruses, or code designed to damage systems; infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights; contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or exploitation content; promotes violence, terrorism, or hate against protected groups; includes non-consensual intimate imagery; or violates export control, sanctions, or other applicable regulations.
3. Prohibited conduct
You may not: attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, servers, or data; probe or scan systems without permission; overload or interfere with the service (including automated abuse or excessive uploads); circumvent retention, download, or security limits; use TempFile for phishing, spam, or fraud; harvest personal data from other users without consent; or resell or commercially exploit the free service without written permission.
4. Sensitive data
Do not upload highly sensitive personal data (such as government IDs, full financial records, or unencrypted medical records) unless you understand the risks of temporary hosting. TempFile is not designed as a secure long-term vault.
5. Enforcement
We may investigate suspected violations, remove content, block IP addresses, disable share links, suspend accounts, and report illegal activity to authorities. We are not obligated to monitor all uploads but reserve the right to do so for safety and compliance.
6. Reporting abuse
To report abusive content or policy violations, contact abuse@tempfile.example (replace with your operational contact address) and include the share link, a description of the issue, and any relevant details.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of TempFile after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
